The pictures on the stamps are titled "Fairy Couple", "The Emperor's Female Son-in-Law", and "Collecting Grass for Pigs", respectively.
“A famed opera in China, the Huangmei opera can trace its origins to rural areas among Anhui, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces some 200 years ago. A large number of good plays have been staged and numerous star singers mushrooms since the founding of the People's Republic of China. All its plays are about reality and life and have thus won the heart of the audience. It was inscribed on the list of China's national intangible cultural heritage in 2006."
