   "The 7th Congress of All-China Philatelic Federation was held in Beijing on April 25, 2013. The souvenir sheet was issued to celebrate the grand conference among philatelic circles. The main picture shows cultural relics excavated from Liye Ancient Town in Longshan County of western Hunnan Province, including bamboo slips from the Qin Dynasty (221 BC - 206 BC), daubs and stamp labels. A number of archives of Qin Dynasty's Qianling County were found at Liye Ruins. These archives are of high value in researching ancient China's early postal system. The words "Qianling yi you xing Dongting" (the expressed mail from Qianling County, today's Liye, to Dongting Prefecture) on the Qin slips are regarded as China's earliest letter; the daub by "Youyang Cheng Seal" is used as a mark to seal the letter; and the stamp label with notes on the package is considered the earliest one in China."

   “中华全国集邮联合会第七次代表大会于2013年4月25日在北京召开。此邮票为祝贺这一集邮界的盛会而发行，主图展示了湖南湘西龙山里耶古城遗址出土的秦简，胶泥和邮签等文物。里耶古城遗址存有大量秦朝迁陵县的档案，对于研究古代早期的邮政制度具有极高的价值。邮票上的“迁陵以邮行洞庭”秦简被考古专家认为是中国最早的书信；“酉阳丞印”胶泥是书函封口的印记；邮签即邮包上的标签，上有邮报说明，是目前发现最早的邮签。”

"Wilhelm Richard Wagner (22 May 1813 – 13 February 1883) was a German composer, theatre director, polemicist, and conductor primarily known for his operas  His compositions, particularly those of his later period, are notable for their complex textures, rich harmonies and orchestration, and the elaborate use of leitmotifs—musical phrases associated with individual characters, places, ideas or plot elements. His advances in musical language, such as extreme chromaticism and quickly shifting tonal centres, greatly influenced the development of classical music; his Tristan und Isolde is sometimes described as marking the start of modern music."

  "Court Ladies Preparing Newly-Woven Silk (Song Dynasty copy), a scroll with exact delineation and enriched colors attributed to painter Zhang Xuan of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), is a precious legacy of Chinese ancient portraits of ladies. Now collected by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the painting depicts a scene of Tang women pounding, sewing and ironing newly-woven silk. Pounding was an important step of the process, because newly-woven silk was hard and stiff in texture and could only be used after being soaked in water and pounded. To promote farming and sericulture, empresses of the past dynasties were all supposed to preside over the ceremony for worshipping the god of silkworm, which involved symbolic activities such as mulberry leaf harvest, silkworm rearing, and making silk clothes. The scene depicted in Court Ladies Preparing Newly-Woven Silk is considered the ceremony for worshipping the god of silkworm, reflecting the Tang royal family's life."

   "唐代画家张萱《捣练图》(宋人摹本), 工笔重彩， 是古代仕女图中的重要遗存， 现收藏于美国波士顿美术博物馆。此图以长卷的形式对宫廷妇女得捣练缝纫等活动做了生动具体而细致的刻画。捣练是其中重要工序，一些丝帛因为织成后质地较为僵硬，必须经过水泡捶捣的加工才能使用。为了提倡农桑，各代王朝皇后都要主持和参加亲蚕典礼仪式，其中包括采桑养蚕制帛缝衣等内容。《捣练图》所描绘应为亲蚕典礼中的部分情景，反映着唐代宫廷生活的一个侧面。"

"Whater is one of the world's most precious resources. To raise people's awareness of protecting water resources, the 47th United Nations General Assembly declared March 22 as World Day for Water. World Water Day has been observed on March 22 since 1993 in an effort to promote comprehensive planning and management of water resources in all countries"

"水是世界上最宝贵的资源之一。为唤醒人类重视水资源保护，第47届联合国大会将每年的3月22日定为'世界水日'，以推动世界各国对水资源进行综合性统筹规划和管理，加强水资源保护，解决日益严峻缺水问题。"

 

Last year Singapore also issued a set of 10 stamps "Reservoirs of Singapore" to commemorate the World Water Day.
