  "The novel 'Dream of the Red Chamber', also known as 'The Story of the Stone', is considered a milestone in the history of Chinese classical novels and a masterpiece in Chinese and world literature. Its author, Cao Xueqin, spent 10 years writing the novel based on his own life experience. The novel depicts the rise and decay of the Jia clan and the love tragedy between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu, giving readers a full picture of social life in the late period of feudal China."

“A famed opera in China, the Huangmei opera can trace its origins to rural areas among Anhui, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces some 200 years ago. A large number of good plays have been staged and numerous star singers mushrooms since the founding of the People's Republic of China. All its plays are about reality and life and have thus won the heart of the audience. It was inscribed on the list of China's national intangible cultural heritage in 2006."
